PyCRobo Ltd is a UK deep-tech robotics and AI engineering company developing adaptive automation, machine vision and edge-compute robotic technologies for industries where precision, repeatability, traceability and operational reliability are critical.
We bring together robotics, computer vision, machine learning and systems engineering to create intelligent automation concepts that can perceive operational conditions, learn from human demonstration and support data-driven decision-making in real-world industrial and healthcare research environments. Our work draws on imitation learning, deep neural perception, sensor-driven inspection and adaptive control, while remaining focused on practical deployment, integration and validation.
PyCRobo focuses on operational challenges that conventional fixed automation often struggles to address, including high product mix, frequent changeovers, variable part geometry, manual visual inspection burden, sub-millimetre inspection requirements and the need for automation systems that can be adapted without extensive reprogramming. Our aim is to help organisations improve inspection consistency, process traceability and automation flexibility as our technologies progress through development, testing and future deployment.

Dr. Yagna Jadeja
Founder and CEO
Dr. Yagna Jadeja is shaping the future of robotics, one breakthrough at a time. Her early fascination with how machines think, learn, and move has become a career dedicated to intelligent automation. As Founder and CEO of PyCRobo, she leads the company's research, product development, and commercial strategy with a clear purpose: to bring intelligent robotics out of the laboratory and into real-world industrial and healthcare environments.
Her PhD at the University of Derby, which focused on imitation learning for robotic manipulation, was more than an academic milestone. It became the foundation for PyCRobo's core technology: enabling robots to learn by observing, adapt to changing conditions, and improve through experience. This work earned her the Best PhD Thesis Award at RTIPPR 2024, together with recognition under the UK Global Talent visa route, Exceptional Talent endorsement, in AI and robotics.
With more than a decade of hands-on experience across industrial electronics, computer vision, robotics, and AI, Dr. Jadeja has already demonstrated what intelligent automation can achieve. She led an Innovate UK-funded project to develop an AI-driven inspection system for composite materials, with direct relevance to aerospace and advanced manufacturing.
Every part of PyCRobo reflects her vision: the research, the products, and the ambition to build robotic systems that are adaptive, reliable, and ready for real-world deployment. Dr. Jadeja does not simply lead PyCRobo. She is the driving force behind it.
Dr. Aaisha Makkar
Advisor and Mentor
Dr. Aaisha Makkar brings substantial real-world research experience to her role as Advisor and Mentor at PyCRobo. With deep expertise across machine learning, deep learning, federated learning, and AI-driven cyber security, she provides grounded, practical insight that connects advanced academic research with applied technology development.
Her guidance shapes PyCRobo's machine learning and AI strategy, grounding it in technical rigour and clear research direction. As a prolific researcher and published author, Dr. Makkar has contributed more than 20 SCI-indexed journal papers to leading IEEE and Elsevier publications and authored Machine Learning in Cognitive IoT, published by CRC Press / Taylor & Francis.
Her international background, including postdoctoral research at Seoul National University of Science and Technology, IEEE membership, and UK Global Talent, Exceptional Talent recognition, reflects genuine expertise and academic excellence.
At PyCRobo, Dr. Makkar's expertise translates into thoughtful mentorship, research discipline, and academic rigour that strengthen the foundations of what we build.
